Funding maintenance of green space
It has been confirmed by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) that the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) can be used for green space maintenance, and not just for new infrastructure.CIL regulation 59(1) clarifies that: A charging authority must apply CIL to funding [the provision, improvement replacement, operation or maintenance of] infrastructure to support the development of its area.
