Living with rainwater

A new, free guide from London Wildlife Trust called Living with rainwater shows how residents of towns and cities can reduce local flood risk, whilst also creating natural spaces that can benefit people and wildlife.

The guide celebrates an ongoing project in Herne Hill, south London, where local residents are putting their ideas into action. Some are creating rain gardens and green roofs, some are digging up tarmac and others are simply catching and storing rainfall in water butts.
