Description:

Linked filter strip, retention pond and reed bed system used to treat and attenuate surface water and foul drainage. Surface water flows from the car park through an interceptor into the retention pond. The reed bed treats the effluent from a septic tank serving the toilets and washrooms.

 

The effluent discharged into the water course is always within consent and has no impact on the receiving water course.

 

Water quality consent for reed bed discharge of 20:30. Environment Agency samples indicate performance of BOD (4,2.5,5.1) and SS (2,9,10).
